Our Story: From Humble Beginnings to a Vision for National Impact.
Comphy Infortechno is a nationally owned SME, incorporated under the Companies Act 1997 with the Investment Promotion Authority (IPA). The name “Comphy” is inspired by the fusion of Computer and Physics, reflecting our technical foundation and innovative mindset.
Our journey began in 2016 at the Papua New Guinea University of Technology, within a student dormitory. What started as a small initiative quickly became a lifeline for many self-sponsored students commonly known as Somalians and others facing hardship.
During this early phase, Comphy focused on:
- Graphics design services for small local businesses
- Laptop/computer repairs and sales
- Software installation and basic IT support
Beyond technology, Comphy Infortechno extended its support to fellow students by providing essential items like food, soap, clothing, and transport fees. We also sponsored student events and assisted during emergencies and times of illness. Our purpose was never about profit, it was about solidarity, survival, and support.
From 2016 to 2018, our mission was clear: to help each other through education and community spirit.
Now, Comphy Infortechno is taking the next step.
We’ve recognized the growing importance of technology in shaping the future of Papua New Guinea. With this in mind, we’ve expanded our vision transforming from a student support group into a purposeful business with long term goals. Our focus is to bring ICT solutions, Graphic Design, Sales, and Marketing services to communities across PNG, especially to those who are underserved or overlooked.
Our mission is to bridge the digital divide by making technology and media accessible, practical, and impactful. Comphy is committed to getting the basics of IT services right, so our people can adapt and thrive with the advanced technologies of the future.
